Sponsored Jump Success

Well done to all the Taekown-Do students who took part in our annual sponsored jump. All the students had to perform jump overhead kick (nopi chagi). Most of the children did their kick in their Tuesday evening class at St  Joseph’s School for the Deaf on the Navan Road.

The adults and teenagers got to jump at the at the Cabra Parkside Sports centre on the Ratoath road. It was great to see everyone push themselves to their limit and many of the students beat their personal best. Nopi chagi is a kick which really tests a student’s flexibility and explosive power in their legs. All students and encouraged to keep on stretching regularly and also continue to develop their leg power. We’ll come back to the kick in a few months to see how everyone is developing.

Tigers and Dragons Tuesday Class

Dear Parents

As you know our last term of Tuesday evening classes for Tigers and Dragon's were held in the main hall in the Inspire Gym. Unfortunately this hall is no longer available to us on a Tuesday evening.

We are pleased to announce that we have secured the use of the School Hall on the same campus for our Tuesday evening Tigers and Dragon's classes. A rough map is attached as a guide to the location of the new hall. For those of you whom had children attend the FAI Summer Soccer camp it is the hall used for that camp.

The hall is located on the Navan Road side of the Campus but can be accessed via the Ratoath Road entrance. Directions are outlined below. If you are driving, there is a car park directly beside the new hall if you enter by the Navan Road gate. Please note that if you drive in via the Ratoath Road entrance you must leave your car in that car park and walk as there is no driving route to the new hall from that entrance.

Ratoath Road

Enter via the main gate on Ratoath Road and turn right, walking beside the car park towards the astro football pitches. When you reach the astro pitches turn left along the walkway between the astro pitches and the main building. Walk to the end of the astro pitches and turn right. Approximately 50 feet ahead of you , you will see a wooden fence and a tarmac path. Turn left along this path and continue straight on, you will arrive at the new hall.

Navan Road

If you are driving from the Navan Road towards Phibsboro, the entrance to the hall is the first left after Cabra Garda Station. If you are driving from Cabra to the Navan Road, it is the last right before Cabra Garda Station. The hall is located inside this gate on the right, just past the security hut.

We look forward to seeing you there
